Cork schoolkids make brilliant rap video on climate crisis

Pupils at one small national school outside Bantry in west Cork have made a very impressive rap song and video talking about their concerns over climate change.

The kids at Cappabue N.S. – a mixed, two-teacher school in the Shehy Mountains north of Bantry – made the video with the help of Cork producer Garry McCarthy of award-winning Cork City based music collective

Garry works with schools and youth groups all over Cork to make music, often addressing the concerns and issues that children in the Rebel County are concerned with.

Cappbue N.S. may be one of the smallest schools in Cork – but they have an amazing track record when it comes to making movies. They have won a number of awards for their videos covering everything from Lego animation to the lives of the kids on their family farms in the area.
